Greetings,
Up until last week, if I saved the filename for the print, that would transfer over to the printer.
What I’m experiencing now is the Build volume name (all the print file names) is what gets sent or used by the printer.
This maybe a Preform or printer firmware update change. Not sure if we had printer updates last week or not. Have to check.
It makes for an extra step in work process now, as I have to manually alter the Build Volume text to have the file name.
Did something change somewhere? I cleared all temp files to remove that possibility of corruption.
Help would be appreciated if anyone else has solved this.

Hello Rob,
It sounds like you might be using the Insider Build version of PreForm, where the beta feature Build Volumes is already available. For the experience you’re used to, please use the latest production release.
If you’re not using the Insider Build and are still experiencing this issue with file naming, please let us know!
Hi Sophia, can we get some dialog going here? Why did Formlabs decide to make 3 separate places to have 3 different names within a print job?
@electrodorks Thanks for reaching out about this! With the new Projects feature, there are indeed separate names for projects and builds. I have forwarded your feedback that this seems cumbersome to the PreForm team. Input like this is extremely valuable, thank you for sharing!
