Should I be using just water or maybe a rag wet with polypropyl alcohol?
I wouldn’t recommend water. A paper towel with IPA usually does the trick.

I’ve worked with resin allot when i was doing custom enclosures on cars, i would recommend these lacquer thinner, acetone, or alcohol.
I use a paper towel with IPA, especially to clean the build platform handle that tends to get sticky quickly
