What Formlabs offers when form 2 is dead

Thanks to everyone involved for this topic–the various detailed comments are very helpful. CUrious to know how it turned out. My Form 2 has had a gradual but increasing fall off in performance. I found a haze over everything when I opened the machine. It was shocking how dirty it had become (mostly resin haze) despite not suffering an spills. I’ve cleaned the main mirror and am working on the galvos and the lens now. I feel like we’re all going to end up here someday.

I find mine need a clean once every 2 years or so, but it depends how much dust there is where you have the machine. Follow Formlabs’ instructions to the letter and then do an optics test print. If it doesn’t come out properly, clean it again. Get it right and your machine will be as good as new!
Using an air cleaner to remove dust from the air in the room should help, and I bought a small battery powered vacuum cleaner which I don’t use for anything else to hoover dust away from the main mirror before using the pecpads. Reduces the risk of scratching it, since the reflective surface is on the top of the mirror and is easily damaged.
