Formlabs 3+ - dead? Problem with turning on

Hi, everyone!

I have a problem with my Formlabs 3+ printer.

When plugged in, the printer once starts and once not. And at the moment it died… The screen is black, the logo does not light up. From strange events to complete immobilization lasted 24 hours. The printer is barely two years old… I’m shocked that such a product falls after two years especially since this is the top when it comes to SLA printers. Please help me with the repair.

Maybe just maybe it’s only power supply. If FL will not help you try to find local technician/electronics service who could check it for you (power supply) and repair.

You can try factory reset (but IMO it will not help) (from FL support page):

  • Unplug the printer.
  • Reconnect the printer power cable.
  • When the Formlabs logo appears, push and hold the reset button located underneath the USB port in the rear of the printer until Resetting to factory defaults appears on the touchscreen. …
  • Release the button

You should get in touch with support. Parsing your description it sounds like maybe the PSU or SOM is bad. If it were mine id open it up and check power rails.
