Form 2 LAN connection issue

I recently purchased a form 2 (rc-1.13.5-101), but cannot get preform (2.17.1) on windows 7 to connect to it on the LAN. I can ping the printer’s IP address from my windows cmd prompt, but when I try to connect via preform I get the error " could not connect to printer". I have manually set a static IP address, and have entered the correct IP address in preform. Any ideas?

Are you connecting via WiFi or Cable?

Does your router have a password?

Thanks for the response, it turns out the issue was a buried permissions setting on my LAN, issue has been resolved.
