Clicking noise when tank moves to the right before build plate lifts

There’s a weird clicking noise right when the tank moves to the right before the build plate pulls away from the tank.

Does it sound like “suction” to some of you guys? I’ve experienced the suction noise before but it only occurs early in the print, like 5-20 layers early and not towards the end of a print. Or can the suction occur at anytime?

Hey there @BuildHubTV!

Thanks so much for taking the time to post! That’s a terrific question. To my ears, this is totally normal sound levels for a functioning Form 2.

That clicking noise is to be expected. It’s often a combination of a bit of suction and just the mechanical noises of the tank starting its move.

Hearing this noise more at the beginning of a print is also completely normal and the reason for that is pretty simple! The bases of prints tend to have the largest area of the whole print, so any suction effect that’s occurring will usually(there are exceptions, but they’re rare) be most noticeable there.

All that being said, if you’re ever concerned about a noise like this, or something changes and it becomes more severe for whatever reason, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team at the link below and we’d be happy to investigate!
