Ive got two 4K monitors running side by side; windows considers my left ‘primary’ and my right ‘secondary’. If I launch Preform from the pinned app toolbar on my left monitor, it starts up just fine. if I try to launch it from the pinned-app toolbar on my right monitor, it immediately freezes at the splash screen. I can even launch it several times and get several splash screens stacked, all frozen.
It’s obviously not a showstopper because I can kill the process and relaunch from the left monitor, but it’s pretty irritating that this issue has been going strong for a few versions now.
Sure - both should be the latest. I show:
–Windows 11 (Version 23HS OS Build 22631-4890)
–Preform v3.44.1 (problem existed on at least 2 previous version as well)
Hi, this is really interesting. Just to clarify, that I understand correctly, you have PreForm on your Windows taskbar and it only starts successfully if you click the icon on a specific monitor? And this behavior started 2-3 releases ago?
PreForm usually opens on the display it was last closed on. Splash screen might open on the screen you click the button but the main window will try to move to its last known position.
Are both monitors have the same scaling ratio?
Would you mind sending over PreForm’s log files in a private message? You can open their location from the Help menu.
