I have read that lightly sanding the build platform has lead to better adhesion. Has anyone had any good results with this? I have 100 and 180 grit sandpaper to use, and before I go at the platform I want any recommendations. Is it more of a gently rub or a harder application of the sandpaper?
Anything that roughs up the surface slightly is fine in my experience.
It can help but shouldn’t be necessary.
80 grit. No need to sand a new build platform.
I’ve used a Scotchbrite pad to clean the build surface when I’ve had adhesion problems, and it’s worked really well. It would also remove much less of the metal than low-grit sandpaper.
