Thin and vertically oriented print failure - Any suggestions?

Hey folks - In a Friday night hail Mary, I oriented this wing (1.29mm thick) vertically in Preform and printed. I didn’t have much hope, but was disappointed nonetheless to find this morning, that while the supports (and other two pieces) printed, the wing didn’t.

Any suggestions as to how to orient it? I would like to keep the supports off of the broad surfaces but realize that may be the only way. It also occured to me to add some sacrificial surfaces to the wing for additional supports, that I would cut and sand off later.

Thank you in advance.

I’d definitively go with sacrificial supports, even if it’s a .2 or .3mm thick web that connects to supports. I’ve found pretty bad luck with just .35 supports. One or two .6mm supports does wonders, but in this case I think a thin web at the base will do wonders.

Agreed. Thank you.

Also a good strategy for printing entire 1/700 scale helicopter rotors.

In so far as a ‘good’ strategy exists.
