Shipping costs from UK/Europe for repair of out of warranty unit

Hi

Formlabs are taking my machine back for repair/placement due to a fault and their shipping company has just sent me an invoice for $303 (£180) which seems very expensive (and also seems that I am paying for shipping there and back - surely I should just pay to ship to?) any other European/UK users who had to ship back for repair got any advice for cheaper shipping?

Hey Jason,

same for us, this is our second printer that has to go back to formlabs, even though we never were able to complete a successful print, the printer is now “out of warranty” and shipping costs will need to be paid.

303 dollars also for us.

An alternative would be to use your own shipping company - but formlabs/simple global may refuse that.
