Form 3 Dead

So I have a Form 3 which is now a couple of years old but hasn’t had to work so hard, one day it was suddenly dead, after contacting Formlabs I was told it could be the SOB board which costs around 300 Euros and is non returnable as it comes programmed from the US, I was also told there is no repair possibility with Formlabs, Great!
They did of course offer to sell me a Form 4! Obviously I am not impressed with Formlabs after sales help!
So now the main question, has anybody else had this problem and has anyone managed to find out what the problem is and how to solve it?
I really need to print urgently but to be honest won’t invest any more money with Formlabs as I have already invested in spare platforms and tanks etc, obviously a bad decision.
Any recommendations for a new printer with a good after sales help?

Any help would be greatly appreciated so thanks in advance.

NEW UPDATE!
Well formlabs have sorted me out and sent me a refurbished Form3 so now I’m printing again and content.
Thank you Formlabs for rescuing the situation before I ordered something else!

Glad we got it sorted!

I have Form 3 and ran it to the same situation. My Form 3 is dead and support is saying get a new one. I am very upset with FormLabs.

How did you convince FormLans to give you a refurbished one? I would be happy to settle for a refurbished one.

My 3L is dead and Formlabs told me they are unable to troubleshoot/repair.

Bigger Picture: I bought the machine for $13k to use for a specific project. I was never used for that project because A) First printer was dead on arrival (bad motherboard). B) Second unit was plagued by V1 tray issues.

To date, I’ve completed around 10 prints, at more than a thousand dollars each. Now it’s dead and they are telling me to buy a new one? I’m not very interested at this point in doing business with Formlabs again. What other brands do people use?

Hello SBaircraft! I’m glad we could connect on the phone a couple times today to work towards a resolution. I’ll be coordinating with our Services team over the next day or so to work through to the resolution we discussed. Thanks for working with us directly. -Don
