How do I deal with a resin spill, it was an overnight print so could be well into printer by now.

I suggest you should contact support! They will help you, open a ticket with some pictures and the estimated amount of resin spill.
Anyway, that’s usually not a big deal

thanks I have done that but I think the response will take longer than normal European bank holidays in Germany, at least that’s the auto reply I got. I think I have an idea of taking the shell off.

I would wait for the support reply. Not sure if you could void your warranty while opening the machine without permission…
