I have an empty tough 1500 V2 cartridge for my form 4 and one “backup” cartridge that has leaked in its shipping bag. Am I able to refill my original empty tough 1500 V2 cartridge with the resin from the leaking cartridge? Or will the form 4 not detect that the resin cartridge has been refilled and keep viewing it as fully used.
If I can’t refill the resin cartridge, could I still salvage using the leaking cartridge resin but periodically dumping it into the tank basin?
I heard it will work for a little bit but eventually stop but you van manually add it to the tank just watch the level so you dont put to much and cause a spill
As @MattRForerunner said it may work a little to refill an old cartridge but I know formlab do not recommend it at all.
If it was leaking when you received it I would advice you to contact formlabs as it is a problem on their side.
If not then adding it manually to the vat from time to time is what I would do too

We do not recommend refilling your cartridges, as the printer will lock you out from using that cartridge eventually. If you received a leaking cartridge in your shipment, please send photos and the order number to us here in support. We will be able to send you another cartridge free of charge. You can then use the leaking cartridge to top off your resin tank after cleaning it up a bit.
