Problems with 3B printer mixer

Hello!

I’m coming here to hopefully get some help in troubleshooting my 3B printer. The mixer arm keeps slamming into the right corner when preparing a print which causes the prints to fail and I have tried calibrating and cleaning, basically everything that the mixer error recommends but I still cannot seem to get it to work.

I also tried testing it with both a resin tank and without resin so see if it was debree but same thing happens regardless.

@mcurras This looks like it could possibly be related to the X-axis lead screw or limit switch. If the LPU (Light Processing Unit) is not in its correct position, it doesn’t know when to release the mixer.

A couple of things to get started troubleshooting are as follows:

  • Are you having any grinding noises while the LPU moves?
  • Have you received any errors when this happens? If so, what error do you receive?
  • When was the last time you cleaned the lead screw?
  • Upload a photo of the x-axis lead screw (found under the resin tank and running along the back of the printer) as well as the ABL (Anti-backlash) Nut (found all the way to the right, behind the LPU when it’s in its home position.)

You can also open a support case to receive faster responses from us and get you back to printing as expected.

I also found this piece in the printer just now and I wonder if something inside the LPU broke.

@mcurras Thank you so much for sending along the photos. That last one tells me everything. Part of the mixer motor assembly is broken, and it will have to be replaced. I have the store link so you can purchase the part HERE. I have the guide for you on how to replace it as well.
