Hello, I would like to bring to your attention. We have a Fuse sls printer, so we use the preform software when setting up prints in the software its slow, erratic, put the pc into not responsive and generally take ages to calculate and register. We had our IT guy in to diagnose the pc thinking it was that. But it has transpired that we have a Hi spec computer and graphics card but the preform software can only use the onboard card and doesn’t use the T1000.
Is there anyway to make it use the second graphics card?
thanks
Hi @Alba3Dprint,
It was a pleasure speaking with you today! As we discussed, PreForm primarily relies on the CPU for intensive calculations, with the GPU being used mainly for rendering the 3D scene. Therefore, using an integrated GPU should not pose a significant issue. For optimal performance, users should focus on having a robust CPU (more cores are better) and sufficient RAM.
Based on our conversation, it appears the issues you’re experiencing may indeed be related to the computer, as they don’t occur on other machines that you have tried. That said, please feel free to reach out if you’re able to provide an example scene where the problems occur—we’d be happy to investigate further.
Looking forward to staying in touch!
