Regardless of the STL file tessellation when attempting to import Preform will crash when a file is selected in the explorer window - before it’s imported. The same files can be right clicked and opened in Preform with “open with” without any issues.

I have the same problem, when i try to load a new object in to Preform. ?
I’m glad I came here and found this workaround. I tried many things yesterday even trying lesser quality tessellations and i crash every time, I’m using latest build of Preform 3.12.0
Formlabs team, you should really fix this. Please let me know if you need the crashing files to replicate this bug.
