Hey guys,
I’m using a Form 4L and recently ran into a problem with the resin tank.
At first, the printer showed a “debris in resin tank” error, so I tried running the cleaning sheet process. But it didn’t really solve the problem.
After checking the tank, I noticed that the film at the bottom may be slightly damaged. Now there is some cured resin firmly stuck to the bottom of the tank, and it’s very hard to remove. It doesn’t look like normal loose debris anymore.
From what I can tell, the cleaning sheet is no longer peeling things off properly. My guess is that the bottom film may already be damaged, which is why the resin is sticking there.
I’ve attached some photos.
Has anyone seen something like this before?
I mainly want to ask:
-
Does this look like a damaged or punctured tank film?
-
If so, is the tank basically no longer recoverable?
-
Is there any safe way to clean this, or is replacing the tank the only real solution?
-
If the film is damaged, should I also check or clean anything else in the printer before using a new tank?
For now I’ve stopped using this tank because I don’t want to make the problem worse.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
