Desperate for Help – Form 3 + Castable Wax 40 = Unreliable Prints?

Hey everyone,

I’m at my wit’s end with my Formlabs Form 3 and Castable Wax 40 resin. I use it mainly for printing rings and jewelry, but the failure rate is insane. Around 70% of my prints fail, and I can’t figure out why. The biggest issues are:
• Distorted shapes – some prints lose their form entirely.
• Supports failing? – parts of the model detach, especially finer details.
• Overall poor results – for the price of this printer, I expected much better.
• Layer thickness 0.050 mm – no major improvement at 0.025 mm, sometimes even worse.

When the printer does manage to complete a print, the quality is excellent. But those moments are rare, and I can’t afford to waste so much resin and time.

I was hoping this machine would be a game-changer, but instead, it’s holding me back from work. I’m desperate for help—does anyone have reliable settings or workflow tips for printing signet rings and other jewelry with this printer and resin?

Any advice would be hugely appreciated. Thanks!
