Crazy long upload time

It takes over 20 mins to upload a 1.4MB stl for printing on the Fuse 1 30W. Always gets stuck on “Uploading Print Files”. With some prints, I have had >1 hour waits for this screen to pass. Anyone else experience this?

The upload speeds will depend on your network speeds, if you’re having issues, you can try connecting to the Fuse 1+ directly via USB cable. Let me know if that helps!

The machine is connected via Ethernet to our corporate network. The network speeds are not a limiting factor

Furthermore, after completing the upload, occasionally the printer does not begin printing. This happened yesterday after I uploaded a remote print job.

Never had such long upload times. We´ve been using both wifi and ethernet and i don´t really see any difference regardless of connection. Takes maybe 5-10 minutes for a full chambed job.

Thanks for the extra details. Since your network speed isn’t the issue, you should check that your Fuse 1+ is up to date with the latest firmware. Also, upload times can vary depending on the complexity of your STL and the material/settings version you’re using.

Another thing to check is that your printer is only connected via Ethernet and not also to WiFi. Having both connections active at the same time can slow things down significantly. Additionally, if the computer you’re using to upload the job is connected via WiFi while the printer is on Ethernet, this can also create delays. Lastly, the slicing process can be pretty demanding on your computer’s processor, so if you’re running other programs in the background, that could be a factor too.

But I agree that the upload times here sound like an outlier, can you submit a support ticket here, and we’ll take a closer look at what’s going on?
