As you can see, this cartridge is missing the tiny board with the chip that communicates with the printer. It looks just broken, so I wonder if it broke in the factory and it wasn’t caught by quality control, or if I have purchased a fake cartridge, since I got this one from Amazon rather than the official distributors.
The cartridge came on a sealed box and plastic bag, same as any other cartridge I’ve bought before from the official distributors. There was nothing that would indicate an obvious forgery.
I also checked if the broken part was inside the package or box, but it wasn’t.
