Cleaning up support spots on flexible prints

I saw a comment somewhere that a dremel tool can be used. Will this give better results than flush cutters? I see the recommendation of using sandpaper, but which one to use, is not specified. The parts I’m printing are pretty small. They’re about 45mm diameter discs, and about 5 - 6 mm thick, and I’ve found that I can reduce the contact point down to 1.6mm, and also reduce the support density.
