I have tough parts which I put in alcohol bath and after the bath they have a white film over the whole part. I made a fresh alcohol and soaked the parts in that but as they dry they are still having a white film. Any ideas what this is from? I can scratch the film off and the green part surface is revealed.
Some of the matte resins can leave a white residue on the outside of parts that we recommend removing with a toothbrush or cloth. Oftentimes, the particles won’t detach from the part on their own in an alcohol bath and do need a bit of agitation. If you’ve cleaned your alcohol, you shouldn’t notice residue on future parts.
