What is the longest time you can leave a part to soak?

I don’t recommend letting it soak for more than about 30 minutes. A few times, I have left a part in alcohol over night and it lost a lot of its strength.

actually I leave a big part all the night (14h) and the piece looks very very good (160ml part)
