Very odd thing happened to my print, and I’m not sure what exactly. When I took it off the build plate this morning, the support raft was not totally attached to the platform. It looked like it had lifted right off the steel. But… oddly, the supports were just shorter and the model itself is fine.
And the body of the print doesn’t just ‘look’ okay. You can sorta see the little wings still in the bath, and I’ve fitted them into the side slots just fine, so the model actually works just fine.
Question to the group: how does something like this happen and why? I would have expected errors in the model, but there aren’t any. It’s almost like the supports shortened themselves after the print was finished. Tough 1500 has some bendiness to it, but it doesn’t really like, spring.
Now, it has been hot, and the AC has been running a lot in my lab, to the point where it’s barely able to keep up. As a result, I put a bucket of ice in the small workshop to keep the room at around 80F (27C). Humidity levels were about 50-60% in the room.
