Starter Projects

Hello!

I’m fairly new to 3D printing though I do have some experience of manufacture through my Engineering degree, I’d love to find some starter projects to get used to using my new Form 2 and get to grips with using 3D printing to its fullest potential!

Would love any suggestions

Is this too ambitious of a starter project to print?

Haha potentially :stuck_out_tongue

Very cool though! Ideally looking for basic mechanically interactive parts (gears etc) and high resolution miniatures.

Try thingiverse.com

My first project would be the Formlabs test print. The butterflies have known good supports and you can use those to get a better understanding of how to support a complex part.

From there, you can look on Thingiverse as mentioned above.

Thanks!

I’m more of a Pinshape.com guy myself

Oh nice! Didn’t know that one. Saw an awesome minion pancake cutter there

The far superior Pinshape.com became my favorite site for 3D files on May 3rd, 2016

I’m sorry I didn’t know! :worried:

Haha @fantasy2 we were pulling your chain a bit because Formlabs owns Pinshape.com. It is a great site…so is thingiverse.com

Cheers
