We recently received a new Form 4L. Since the initial resin loading, the printer repeatedly reports that resin is slowly flowing out of the left cartridge. When I moved the cartridge to the right slot, the issue disappeared. However, inserting a new cartridge on the left side causes the error to reappear.
Error code: 1.9.11.
Good Morning.
Thank you for writing us in the forums. I am sorry to hear you are experiencing a slow flow rate error. Which resin are you seeing this error with? Please see the below steps:
-
Check the bite valve on the underside of the cartridge to make sure it opens when squeezed.
-
Shake the resin cartridge to ensure that the resin is mixed thoroughly.
-
Check the temperature around the printer and your resin storage area. The recommended operating temperature range for Form 4L generation printers is 18–28 °C (64–82 °F).
-
Try another resin cartridge if any are available.
-
Reboot your printer.
-
Ensure that your printer’s firmware is up to date. If the printer’s firmware is already up to date, manually reinstall the latest firmware package.
-
Inspect and reseat the left cartridge floor cables. Follow the instructions in the repair guide Replacing the Form 4L cartridge floor to Step 2: Disconnect the cartridge floor cables.
Hi @KCasey ,
We are using ESD Resin.
-
It cannot be the bite valve, as the issue occurs with every new cartridge I insert on the left side.
-
The room where both the printer and the cartridges are located is around 20–22 °C.
-
Trying a different resin cartridge and restarting the printer did not change anything.
-
The firmware updates automatically, so that should be fine.
-
I will check the cables after the weekend.
Good Morning,
I would still check that the firmware is updated by doing so manually. The printer may say it is up to date, but could be a few versions behind. We would still want you to do a manual update of the firmware by following this guide.
