safety operation for resin fume and ipa

Hi,
I am new for 3D printing using formlab form 4. I have lots of questions how bad is resin for health, and ipa. I read about some people have allergies to resin have symptoms of exposure to resin via touch or breathing. how can I do this job safely. What is safety regulations I need to follow. Feel free to share your experiences. Thank you.

Personnally I try to avoid touching resin and IPA with my bare hands

So I use Nitrile gloves and always wear eye protection just in case of.

We also installed a vent above the Form Wash L recently, but as long as you don’t stay the head above it too close / too long it’s pretty ok.

Hello @Ronilab, about safety there’s some links with important informations:
Safety with Formlabs resin products

Speficically about fumes I’d suggest this link:
Risk Mitigation: Safety Considerations When Buying a Resin 3D Printer | Formlabs

But now my personal advice is: this links won’t tell you the whole story, ACMO (acryloyl morpholine) it’s not the only chemical to be warned… That’s why you should have (at least) a ventilated environment to preserve your health, don’t sleep in the same room of the printer (if you have one at your home) or with the resin in the vat, those resins (even the ACMO free) are still volatile. Some resins like the clear V4 even displays a carcinogenic warning, that’s one of the reasons why we need to take all kinds of safety practices when dealing with these chemicals.
