I mean, I can relate but how can it be worn out half way through one 5L container?
On all my 3Ls with the Resin Pumping System, the printer is complaining that the pump is ‘worn out’. What is the life expectancy of the pump?

Can’t really say, we are stilll trying to get the pump system to work on our 3L…can put it on one of 3+ printers, and it works fine…still just on the 1st 5L container though
For future readers - I was able to get in touch with @SteamFactoryLLC and we are still working to understand root cause. The life expectancy of the pump is several years; we have not worn out pumps in our lifetime testing. The tubing, however, needs to get replaced every ~6months before it starts to impact pumping performance. This is because in both the resting and the active state, the tube has force applied to it which reduces its springiness, and therefore its pumping ability.
Thanks Jonathan.
I’ve narrowed it down to something in Preform. It continues to report ‘printers left cartridge is out’
Again, this has zero impact on functionality. Just seems to be erroneous reporting in Preform.
Thanks for the followup @SteamFactoryLLC. And to confirm, the pump is in the left position, correct?
yes it is. In fact, tried switching and that’s a no go. The Form 3L definitely knows when it’s in the wrong position.
