replaced the LPU and calibrated the z-axis using the little corner discs (done this a few times already). now the first layers of the supports base is not sticking to the buildplate and the prints are failing
just tried a new resin tank, and still failing as before
did you previously print using silicone
This printer has only been using Tough 1500 v2
Double check that everything is good with the clamp pressure on the build platform like when you lock it in place make sure it doesnt move at all
When it’s locked in, it’s very firm and rigid
do you have multiple build platforms
You might not have done the BP alignment properly if it wasn’t loosened and dropped all the way to the LPU.
Or you need to do z fine tuning in the printer settings.
doing fine tuning of z-axis now. started with -.02um, still failed with coming off the buildplate, but it did print about 10 layers before detaching from buildplate.
@Lantech50 I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with your prints not adhering to the build platform. You’ve taken good troubleshooting steps so far. I’d fine-tune the z-axis one more time. If that doesn’t resolve it, please open a support case so that we can dig into the logs and source of the issue.
Already submitted ticket from the website and the printer itself. uploaded the logs, but didn’t send a picture, nothing to show on picture except a blank buildplate.
We replaced LCD screen around June 17th. Had right at 20 jobs sent to the printer without any issues (about 40 various parts).
Starting July 17th, all print jobs (about 13) failed to adhere to the build plate
Tried z offset at -50um, -80um and had a few small parts stick to the build plate, but others detached (checked it around 10 layers printed)
Thouroughly cleaned build plate again, printed cleaning sheet and cleaned LCD releasee texture.
Re-aligned build plate to LPU.
Prints detached again within 5-10 layers.
Set z-offset to -100um, trying print again
you didn’t mention (that I saw above) whether this was a container material that had already printed fine. could it be material-batch related? have you tried a completely new container of material?
same batch of resin that had been printing fine.
update: with z-offset set at -100um, appears to be working ok now. currently on hour 16 of a 21 hour print, and things appear to be fine.
don’t understand
got about 5 jobs printing successfully with the z-offset at -100. now this morning, the beginning of the print jobs are detaching from the build surface again.
had opened a support ticket, but they keep requesting pictures of the failed prints…pictures, of an empty build plate. doesn’t go much further after that.
Are you cleaning the build platform in between prints? I’ve noticed with the tough series resins that sometimes a film builds up which could cause issues.
we clean it with alcohol after every print
