Printing error on Form 4L

Hello!
im currently wanting to print with fast model resin, i’ve alredy cleaned the tank + build platform. We have used elastic resin 50 A V2, i dont really know what to do. I have already cleaned the tank, build platform and mixer. What tips can you recommend?

What’s failing? Can you post some pictures of what you are experiencing? Are you using the same tank for both resins and just cleaning in between?

If your using the same tank for each reain you ne to reprogram it each time this maybe your issue

@sarava, as some others have stated, it appears that you are trying to use the same resin tank for two different resins. It’s best to have a separate resin tank for each type of resin you use. You CAN reprogram your resin tank each time, but it’s not our suggested workflow.

The good news is that our resin tanks for the Form 4L do not have a monitored lifetime, and most resins have a 2-year shelf life, which means you can store a resin tank, with resin in it, while you’re printing in a different resin.

I also have a link to our support page about our resin tanks, which does have the instructions on how to reprogram a resin tank for you HERE.

If you have a larger concern, please feel free to contact Formlabs Support, and we’ll be happy to help you get back to printing as soon as possible.

Thank you for all answers, what has been happening is i have programmed the tank 4 times, last time i used elastic 50 A resin and wanted to change it to fast model resin. In doing so, my printer said it had some debris, i cleaned it 3 times thoroughlycand still could print. I still have not been able to do so and dont quite know what to do. I’m attaching some photos

@sarava, please double-check that the build platform is free of any debris. Also, you have to clean under the strips of the resin tank. If those are raised, the printer will see it as debris.

Outside of that, I would suggest purchasing another resin tank, or two, so that you have one for each resin. You can wash the mixer arm between swapping materials, so you don’t have to purchase a second mixer.

If you’re still having issues after that, or if you would like someone to take a look at the printer’s diagnostics, I’d open a support case.
