As Greg said, we tried the STL on his computer and on mine from the same source (dropbox in common) and it works on mine and not for him :-s
I’ve seen a similar “Unable to read this file” error a few times with v1.0. But in the cases when I’ve seen that error I just tried to opening the file again and it usually opens. I think once or twice I had to try to open a 3rd time or maybe I restarted preform and the file would open. I haven’t seen this issue in the past week so I figured it was something on my side. I do have all of my files on a NAS and I could here it spinning up from sleep mode once or twice when I got the error so I was thinking it might have been that preform timed out on the load because my NAS and or network had a little slow down.
Maybe it’s an issue with how quickly prefome v1.0 times out when trying to load a file? Like Gregory says, I did not seen this issue at all before v1.0. though I’m not sure our issues are exactly the same since am still able to load STLs with almost no issues most of the time still.
