Formlabs EU Store - Delivery Times within EU?

Hello,

Since I got my Form 4 here in Austria, I have ordered several accessory (“all were always in Stock”) from the official store… while I always got the “Shipped” status almost within a day - I can see that the package is long time not handed over the GLS (1-2 weeks!)

So when ordering I receive around 1-2 weeks later - I thought this was only during the holidays in december/new year, But I ordered last sunday - and while it got “shipped” on monday, it still did not arrive here and the GLS status still reads “Parcel not handed over yet” (so will also take almost 14 days again).

Now I need to know if this is the normal delivery time within the EU - as right now i would need to order gain, but the old stuff is still not arrived which makes it difficult to adapt. I think it comes from netherlands… so within EU i usually expect around 2-3 shipping days or may 4-5 in the worst case? What is causing these long shipping times?

I am in France and usually the carrier is UPS and not GLS for us.

That’s what I would have expected for Austria too…

I always use Standard Shipping - not Express - did you choose express?

And this is like for all my previous order - there is almost no reaction for over a week…

I checked and the 2 last quote I got are Standard shipping.
I would guess it’s a GLS issue as they are notoriously slow in my country

Yeah I hope they can do something here or at least look into that… or maybe also switch to UPS for Austria… as this is really bad to wait for so long within EU for an order to arrive - hard to plan anything if you are dependent on resin etc.

I really hoped that was only during christmas/new year - where I waited for 3 weeks for an item in stock…

There are several sides to this: As for the order status, when an order shows the status “shipped”, then it was actually handed over to the carrier (GLS in this example), even if the GLS status does not reflect that - their status is only updated once the package arrives in their distribution center. So although you see the status “Parcel not handed over yet” at GLS, it’s actually on its way already.
The other side is that we have noticed issues with shipping times of GLS lately, and we’re already working with our partners to find solutions for this. We’re very sorry that you experienced delays for your shipments!

yeah I thought that this is not an issue caused by Formlabs. It seems like that the route from Netherlands to the GLS distribution center in Austria takes very long - for whatever reason. But thanks for doing further investigations on this and hopefully it can get resolved soon :slight_smile: .

I ordered a Form 4L on Dec. 16 from a reseller in Austria. The reseller says: Order is processing and the printer will be shipped to me by Formlabs. Still waiting and no Information from Formlabs when the printer will arrive. :frowning:
