$1500-1800.
Jory,
When do you charge the credit card for the units that won’t start shipping until sometime in November?
The old platforms do not work with the new machine per a women I spoke to after the announcement. With the bigger build size, the software assumes you are using the defined build platform. There may or may not be a mechanical difference, i.e., mounting rail, thickness, etc.
$400 regular customers, $600 for kickstarter backers
When you place a pre-order, your card is charged immediately.

i will wait till i see evidence of the new peeling mechanism effectiveness … the fidelity price is nice, but not nice enough to put an order now for me.
Old tank frame is acrylic (bottom is polycarbonate) sounds like the whole Form2 tank is polycarbonate now. I have already forgotten where I read that so I am just part of the rumor mill now.
The Form 2 resin tank is now polycarbonate, but the optical window is still acrylic.

Oops had that backwards then! My shattered tank corner makes me cringe every time I use it, good to know Form2 users won’t have this issue. I assume the geometry also changed otherwise I would push you guys to make the Form1 tank from PC as well. Alas plastic failure is rarely that simple.
For the old tank, i place a tape on the exterior before the first use … in this way I never suffer or worry about any spill problem
Jory - Has the time it takes to print an object changed from the Form1+?
Print times are about the same…but we are actively working to improve that ![]()
We also have a handy comparison sheet that I’ve attached here.
F1-F2-comparison.pdf (1.1 MB)
what is the advantage for the heated chamber?
Consistent resin temperature! If resin is too hot or cold, the viscosity changes and can effect prints.
Example: you place your printer in a shop that gets very cold at night…the printer will be able to continue normal operation during overnight printing when the temperature fluctuates.

Looks good, however I would like to know why the Form2 costs an extra 700USD on the international store. I assume that this does not include shipping/taxes in which case this pricing difference makes no sense. Also note there seems to be a problem with adding it to the cart at the moment.
(Just noticed the resin prices differ on the US and international stores too for which I have the same question)
I too am curious how the slide peel will affect support placement.
I have noticed my printer works better on hot days. 95 degrees F. Pretty hot tank. If you have already determined that’s the optimal temp for the resin, maybe you (or somebody else) should hack up a resin heater add-on for the form 1…
Really interested in the Form 2 and was wondering if it’s capable of producing similar level of detail as one of my 3d printed works?
I’ve attached an image; the printing of the bust was outsourced, looking at investing into a printer for my own use. Thanks for any advice on this.
Interesting,I never really noticed an effect of temperature … probably because here it is always rather constantly cold
I now need to see the effectiveness of the new peeling so that i can decide before year end of to order one with the discount and try to sell my form1+ and all of its trays.
What about the build platform, can that be resumed even if slightly smaller?
Christopher: somewhere in the forums is a thread where someone recommended a chicken coop heater ($49) just for this.
I bought it. It seems to have reduced failures. Worth doing.
I too am curious why there’s such a big discrepancy in the pricing for the international store…?
