Form 4 pausing print because the resin bottle is empty, but resin in the tank

Hi

I have a form 4 at work. i often start a print at night before going home or remotely then come in at lunch.

Sometimes, when i put a new resin cartridge in, and i start a large print, , by the end of the print, the printer has dumped all the resin into the tank

Visibly there is 500ml sometimes in the tank but the cartridge is empty… If i then start any print after that, for example, i had 500ml in the tank and started 2 125ml prints one after another, and the printer paused BOTH of them when i wasn’t there,

The annoying part is that i cannot FORCE the printer to keep going REMOTLEY from preform or dashboard even though i know there was 500 or 400ml in the tank. I have to wait until i come back in to manually tell it to do this via the screen.

This is SUPREMELEY frustrating and is adding to delays on a tight timeline project i am working on as ive promised people ill evaluate a model next day, but then the printer has paused and and i lose a time waiting for it to finish.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to force it to continue rmeotley?

Hi @adamJCI,

This isn’t normal behavior. The printer has warnings for low resin levels, but they shouldn’t be pausing your print unless something else is going on. Based on what you’re describing, it sounds like there may be an issue with the sensor reading the resin level in the tank. I’d recommend running a resin level sensor calibration, and if that doesn’t resolve it, reaching out to support so they can take a deeper look.

Hi henry,

I’ll do that.

Why can i not continue the print remotely in preform?

Thanks

Adam

Hi Adam,

I’ve submitted that as a feature request internally to our software team, thank you for your feedback.
