Have they changed the handles on the flex plate? There are two version, one with black plastic grips and one with bare metal handles. Anyone know which is V1 and V2?

Thank you for writing us in the forums. You are correct, the flex plate has changed. The version of the flex plate with just the metal tabs is the previous version. The updated version has the black tabs on it.
Hi, thanks for your response. I’m even more confused now actually. My distributor has opened 5 boxes and all flex plates are without the black handles. Also, having just watched your Form 4 launch event on YouTube the flex plate has the black handles. This would indicate the opposite? Thanks for your time, Ben

Thank you for letting me know. The photos on the website have not been updated on our site. So without the black tabs is the updated version. I will talk to our team about updating it on the site.
The metal-only handles are much nicer, less small crevices to trap resin.
Our biggest feedback on the flex plate would be if the stainless build surface could be brushed/ground after spot welding to the curved bar/levers, not prior - large parts printed directly on the BP that go right up to the edges end up with many ‘holes’/witness marks from the spot welds on the BP.
Though I appreciate the stainless might well be brought in pre-brushed, and this would drive cost up disproportionately to add this step post-weld and thus may not be worth it. If the brushing is in-house however, swapping the order would be a big improvement.
