Does the Form 3 Printer keep track of the Tank Heath if you move from one printer to another?
I have had the printer tell me it is time to change the tank when placed and left in one printer. Now that I have switched them around just curious if the notification will still happen.
I think the chip on the tank (and cartridge) record their use, not the printer itself. So the wearout level should follow the consumable component from one machine to another.
I can confirm that it’s bound to the the tank and not the printer. If you have two printers you can interchange tanks all you want and the tank’s health will continue where it was before.
Also a different printer will accept the tank without any issues whatsover.
