Hello!
We run a makerspace with many users of our Form 3, and we’re looking to expand our Fleet soon.
We recently got Fleet Control to have more visibility around what prints are queued next and by which group Member. When we do expand to more machines this will be a vital part of the workflow.
I have had some moments recently where I wish I could stop Members from using the dashboard/Fleet Control in a specific way so there was more transparency for everyone in the group.
For example:
*Only Admin users can rearrange the queue
*Only Admins can delete queued jobs
*Remote firmware updates can only be done by Admins, but any user can still update directly from the machine
*Only Admins can turn off printer notifications, or turn on ‘Do not assign prints’ settings
At the moment, our workflow looks like training users on the machine, making their Formlabs accounts members of the group, and then dictating how they send jobs via a set of guidelines. Being able to delineate Member privileges would help us (as makerspace staff) make sure no one is totally flouting those guidelines.
If anyone else works in a makerspace setting I would also be interested to know if anyone workarounds for this!
Thanks very much!
