Is there any way to fine tune the parameter of preforms printability checks? In my experience they are way way waaaaaaaay off what the resins from you guys are actually capable of, and often lead to an extremely over supported model if you try and make all the warnings and red areas go away, which leads to increased post processing times and ultimately a worse finish on the the print.
I would like either for the checks to be closer to what you can do with the resins or the ability to fine tune it myself so that I’m not stuck with either a way over supported model or a potentially failed print.
Hi! The printability checks themselves cannot be fine-tuned unfortunately, but you can of course adjust the support settings to avoid over-supported models. Our Supports V2 also reduce the amount of supports and optimize the placement - they are available for Tough 1000 Resin, Tough 2000 Resin V2, Grey Resin, Clear Resin, Black Resin, and White Resin, and we’ll be expanding support for additional materials.
This is an area our team is constantly working on improving, so thank you for sharing your experience!
I just think it drastically reduces the usefulness of this feature when I can have a presupported model that I know prints perfectly fine, is throwing warnings and most the model is red in preform. It feels intentionally designed to over support models, which I would understand if it wasn’t over supporting by as much as it is.
