Hey everyone,
Managing resin VOCs and IPA evaporation, especially when opening Wash lids is a constant challenge in shared lab spaces.
We wanted to share a quick look at a custom enclosure setup we designed for Safran in France to house their Formlabs printers, Wash, and Cure stations:
Key features we integrated for safety & air quality:
-
Air Extraction: Negative pressure for IPA & VOC capture.
-
UV Safety: Opaque/UV-blocking panels to prevent ambient light curing inside the enclosure.
-
Safety Integration: Built-in smoke detectors and fire safety setup.
-
Lab Organization: Lower shelving for bulk resin and IPA storage.
Free STLs: If you’re building your own ventilation setup, we put together a set of free 3D printable STL files for air intake grids and duct mounts you can print yourself: https://www.alveo3d.com/en/free-stl-files/
