Dear all,
I have a question regarding the safety of resin use. If I were to install a 3D printer in my office, which is a large open space within a big company, could there be any potential risks for the people working in the surrounding offices? While it is true that the printer is enclosed (though not airtight) and has exhaust filters, it is also true that we are dealing with photosensitive resins, which likely release something during the polymerization process.
I have downloaded the Safety Data Sheet (SDS), but I couldn’t find relevant information on this matter—might I have missed something?
Thank you in advance.
Best regards,
Andrea
What printer are you using?
I’ve a Form 3 with Tough2000 and Silicon 40A, but I think that this discussion is applicable to all the resins, or not?
Well I know the Form 4 has a connection for removing the fumes on the back Im not sure of the other machines but we have a 4, two 3+ and a 3 L in quite a small area maybe 20 by 20 room and haven’t had any issues with fumes we also have a old Dinosaur SLA machine with no issues so i wouldn’t worry about it to much they do sell stuff like this if you are concerned.
