To share your referral link, simply follow the steps below:

  1. Sign in to your Formlabs account and open the ‘My Account’ page. Go to the ‘Referral Program’ tab to create your referral link.
  2. Ask the person you’re referring to sign up for a Formlabs account with your link.
  3. You’re all set! The appropriate discount will be automatically applied to their first printer purchase. Once the purchase is complete, an equivalent credit for materials and consumables will be added to your account.

Is this still working as intended? Logging into my account I don’t see anything for referrals anymore

Hey Phil! Thanks for flagging, we noticed it’s showing up for some but not others, but we’re looking into it!

(For me, I went to the homepage, and back to “My Account” and it showed up fwiw.)

Turns out I had to select “Canada” as my storefront otherwise it wouldn’t show up. The website kept defaulting to the US version.

I’m not entirely sure what this difference actually makes though because everything is still charged in USD and comes from the US :sweat_smile:

Does this mean referrals only work for other Canadians who use my link and not anywhere else in the world?

Great to hear it was working after switching to the Canadian store!
The store is assigned based on the shipping address of the purchase. You can access your account from any store (i.e. with any location setting), including the US store, but orders will be migrated to the store associated with the shipping address in the checkout/shipping step.

This does not mean that the referee account needs to be in the Canada store though, as long as they are in a store where the referral program is enabled.

Does this also apply for EU costumers? Because I can’t see any option to go to the 'Referral Program’.

Yes, the program also applies to EMEA and is accessible to user accounts that have made a printer purchase in the past. Please check our Referral Program for all details.

I see where this went wrong for me, we bought our printer through a distributor. Is there a way to join this program otherwise?

Yes, in this case you should be able refer somebody through the reseller you bought from - please clarify the exact steps needed with the distributor.

What I know is that Formlabs stopped working with that specific distributor, so i’m a bit lost here.
