I’ve been having some issues with my machine rebooting while starting a print and I noticed my U3 gets really hot right after I push the power button, does yours?
The voltage going to it is about 11v, is that right?
U3 is a regulator that converts 11V to 5V. It’s a linear regulator, so I’d expect it to get warm. However, if it’s burning hot or the output isn’t 5V, that could indicate a short somewhere on the 5V rail.
I figured it out! It was the z endstop that was plugged in backwards, I have no idea why, but that fixed pretty much everything!
