Cup Mitigation Feature

Preform has a little known, super useful feature in the Print Settings Editor called “cup mitigation” that helps a ton with cupping issues. If you didn’t know about this before, you definitely should. Follow me on YouTube & Instagram for more tips and tricks :upside_down_face:

Thanks for sharing! Loved your video on flexible resin best practices as well!

I’ve lost more than a few prints to cupping blowouts because I didn’t want to mess with the model orientation. Had no idea this was tucked away in the Print Settings Editor.

Yeah, it really needs to be broken out of PSE. It’s doing the engineering team a huge disservice by being so hidden (100% of people I’ve talked to don’t know it exists ). I know the Preform team are working on it so hopefully it’s more accessible in a future release.

I thought it this was turned on by default…wild that it’s not.

It’s not on by default because it can increase print time significantly and there are some use cases where parts can print fine even with cups, but yes, it’s wild that 100% of people I talk to don’t know about it :upside_down_face:
