BrandNew Form Wash knocking noise problem

Hello there,

The form wash that came with my form 3 “combo” is not working. This is my first use, I filled it with stinky IPA, and when it started, after the first three seconds while the impeller was still accelerating, it almost stopped making knocking noises.

I opened a ticket but won’t get an answer until Tuesday. If anyone knows what may be happening and if this is something I can correct without voiding the warranty, any help is greatly welcome! I’m missing Prusa’s 24/7 chat support already. :frowning:

Try operating it without the metal basket. Sometimes the impeller hits on the basket and either it makes noise, or stops. It’s because the blades are warped upwards.

Second cause is that something has happened inside the wash itself, as the impeller rotates by magnets.

It behaves the same with or without the basket. However, I still think the problem may be the impeller.

I think I’ll just wait for support later in the week. In the meantime, I’ll use a cheap washer I have not ideal but it is all I have that works.

Thank you for reaching out about this. I appreciate your patience with this issue, especially given the long weekend. Going through Support will be the best way to address this, as there may indeed be an issue with the impeller or with the coupling of the impeller to the base of the unit. Support would be able to narrow this down further provided with a video demonstration of the issue.
