2nd print of the Form 3L

We tried our hands on this car design model. Lovely prints. Printed the model in several parts, prepped, painted and assembled.

awesome work guys, as always.

This looks fantastic! What was your painting process like?

Thank you!

Model is designed by Mattia Borroni (Based on the Ferrari concept car from Adriano Raeli) and available on GrabCAD. We split it up into 23 individual parts and printed all of it on the 3L. Tried some different orientations and so on. Love how smooth the models come out even at 100 micron. Support structure is also very well placed. Dosn;t use excess amount of resin and comes off easily. Haven’t started experimenting with support placement and size yet so most of it is automatically placed. Wall thickness is also minimum on this model so was nice to test that as well.

Paint is straight forward primer, paint and clear coat. Some minor sanding for the seam line. Thats it.
