I’m one of those guys that usually fidgets with the model rotation and support structure settings until I can find the optimal settings to maintain structural integrity (ie. no red spots on the model in PreForm) while using the least amount of resin. I’ve been able to use up to 40% less resin at times and still get perfect prints by playing with the settings.
Each time I click the button to generate supports it seems to go painfully slow. A lot of people have NVidia cards with CUDA support. I wonder if it would be possible to leverage the CUDA cores within the PreForm software for computationally intensive tasks like generating model supports.
