Dear Formlabs Team,
I am reaching out to request specific technical information about the 50A and 80A resins, as I am considering their application for a project. Specifically, I am looking for the following data:
Young’s Modulus
Poisson’s Ratio
Yield Strength
I would greatly appreciate your assistance with this request. If you have updated Technical Data Sheets (TDS) or any other relevant documentation, that would also be very helpful.
I reached out to our materials team to try and find some answers for you!
To start with, we haven’t done comprehensive testing for Poisson’s ratio and and Yield strength. Apologies for the inconvenience! Anything we have will appear in the currently posted TDS page for each material.
On the Youngs Modulus side, I’m going to paste a response I got from one of our Materials experts:
Young’s Modulus is not a constant value for elastomers, because the stress-strain curve is not linear–which is why we report both the stress at 50% strain and 100% strain instead on the TDS. One can get a good approximation of modulus by dividing stress by strain at the relevant range of interest.
Hopefully that helps, but please don’t hesitate to ask if you have any follow-up questions for us!
