Prints on Hold / Saved Prints Queue (Dashboard & Fleet Control)

When using Fleet Control with the Dashboard, it would be helpful to have on “On Hold” or “Saved Prints” section, or possibly an inactivate toggle on each print job to prevent being automatically sent to the printer. This would be useful if a job is on hold for final approval or requires observation etc.

Wonder how many are using fleet control?

Our engineering team uses it to coordinate print jobs on a shared machine. Otherwise, the only way we could see what is in the printer queue would be to check it locally at the printer. It also allows me to download other team member’s prints and combine them if using the same material or make edits to improve print quality.

Sure, I know the applications but doesn’t know anyone who is actively using it in a real environment. How many machines and workload you need to have for it to make sense? I have 4 f2 1f3 and a fuse1 but not all of them are working 27/7 to justify having fleet control.

This would indeed be very practical. Especially in our fleet of Fuse 1 printers.

Isn´t fleet control and extra purchase you have to make? I might be wrong tho.

Fleet control is a $100 annual fee. Its worth it for us to have the visibility on a team-shared printer.

Ahh i see. thank you very much.

For us it’s less about workload and more about team visibility. If it’s just one person sending jobs and managing priority, then it might not have much value.

True, its 99% only me who runs our printfarm so i guess it would be less useful. Thank you.

I’m learning now that it’s not as expensive as I thought. But still won’t make sense for our current demand.

It’s strengths are certainly for when there are multiple users coordinating on a machine. Having the option to keep a print job on hold/ pin it as inactive and not auto-start would be a nice feature for a team workflow.

Not sure but I think in the last couple of days Dashboard was updated and some new features related to this request are available.
