I bought a FormWash last week. Received the package today.
It shows it was packaged by formlabs 04-2018.
Today is 04-2020.
I am concerned there has been revisions since, or about the fact that it sat for so long presumably in s a warehouse. Can some please advice.
I don’t blame you for being a little concerned, but I’ve had my Form Wash since Nov 2017, and it still works fine. I undergo long periods between projects where it just sits, and I haven’t noticed any degradation in performance.
Off the top of my head I can’t recall seeing any rubberized components that would deteriorate with time. You might ask Support for instructions on how to check and lubricate moving parts like the lead screw.
There was a Form Wash and Cure firmware update on March 15, 2018, and if you plug the device into your computer with a USB cable, recent versions of Preform ought to be able to update it if that was missed before it got boxed up.
