Hi all,
I recently encountered an issue with my Form 3+ printer. It hasn’t happened before, but now for every layer I print, the printer made super loud noise as attached (first sec). Has anyone encountered this before as well? I tried checking the lubrication and it’s all fine. All help is appreciated!
If you use the search function looking for ‘squeak’ it returns several posts.
We had an issue with ours squeaking but yours sound a little different, check the other posts first?
Hi Andrew. Thanks for your advice. I viewed a lot of the posts in this forum and realized that a lot of the members faced the issue only limiting to their x-axis. I tried to check whether it’s a lubrication issue, and I realized it’s not. Also my prints are curing all across the printing tank but it’s not getting thicker/cure on the raft, as if i placed multiple prints. Thank you.
@hermanluk, as much as this isn’t exactly a squeak, and your prints are coming out as expected, this sounds like X-stage stalling, which means that the LPU (Light Processing Unit) is not moving as freely as it should. I have a link for you to the Formlabs store so that you can purchase the X-axis cleaning kit. This will come with a tool to remove the old lubricant and debris, as well as an applicator tool, preloaded with lubricant. I also have the step-by-step guide for you on how to perform the cleaning.
If that doesn’t resolve the issue, I suggest opening a support case so that our agents can assist you in resolving the problem.
